Emily V. Fischer

Dr. Fischer will join the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University as an Assistant Professor in fall 2013.  This year she is a Harvard Environmental Fellow and a NOAA Climate and Global Change Postdoctoral Fellow.

Research Overview:

A unifying theme of my research has been the exploration of natural and anthropogenic sources of trace gases and aerosols to remote environments.

Most of my research uses direct ambient observations, but at Harvard I am developing a working-knowledge of atmospheric chemistry modeling through the exploration of air quality-climate interactions.  This will allow my research group at CSU to be more problem focused, rather than technique restricted, as the questions facing atmospheric chemists continue to evolve.
