Issues for BARCA We know that we need to finish the flights by Nov. 30, 2007. There are 4 segments of the schedule . 1. How long do we need to allow for shipping to Brazil? a. from the US? b. from Europe? c. we need specific information as to where to send the goods, also for the US and Europe. d. will the goods go by plane or boat from Miami? e. will the shipper in Miami be willing to register our goods with US customs to facilitate importation back into the US? We will allow one week extra for compressed gases and other hazardous materials. 2. How long will we require for installing the equipment on the aircraft? a. We must install brackets on the ribs of the plane, also the inlet. How long will that take? b. We then install our racks and equipment. We think that will take 4-5 days. 3. How long should we allow for approval by the ANAC and MD? 4. How long should we allow for the actual flights? We have planned, 3 weeks (21 days). Coordination : We will need to install, or help install, our CO2 sensor in the Bandeirante. Bruce Daube will have to fly from BH to SJC. We will need to have some of the Brazilian operators of our equipment in BH for the test flight and transit flight to Manaus. What will be the installation schedule for the Bandeirante? In Manaus: Will we have any laboratory space? Do we need to make special arrangement with SIPAM/SIVAM? Do we need Infraero badges? Do we need Brazilian drivers licenses? (Saulo) What kind of arrangements will we want/need for lodging in Manaus? For the Bandeirante: How long to integrate? What needs to be done to answer the open items? Substitute CO units? For all: We need a complete roster of who will be where in Brazil. We should consider getting Brazilian cell phones (rented?).
